50 years ago - where and who?

One of Montreal's most notorious and evil criminals was captured and arrested 50 years ago today. He lived in this building. Anybody know who he was and where this was?
Answer: Yes we have some correct replies. It was the Santa Claus robbery killer Georges Marcotte who lived in this building at 1422 Visitation.

Pretty sure it was where George Marcotte was arrested, he killed police officers Brabant and Marineau in December of 62 in Ville St-Laurent, AKA Santa Claus killer.

I'll go with one of the 'Bluebird cafe/Wagon wheel' firebombers: Gilles Eccles, James O’Brien and Jean-Marc Boutin

I'm with Bill on this one. Bluebird was 40 years ago (1972)

Frank Controni lived at 1840 St. Timothee, south of Ontario St., back in mid-50s.

See Gazette for July 25, 1956, page 18, column entitled:

"Five Men Deny Assault..."

Good one Urban. Where else did he live?

I haven't dug any deeper about Mr. Cotroni, but I often run into articles about him when scanning through the mid-50s Gazette archives.
